Replacing the Wildcat as the sporty iteration of Buick's three full-size car lines, it was positioned between the LeSabre and Electra in the lineup. The Buick Centurion is a full-size car built from the 1971 through 1973 model years. The optional 455ci V8 was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear wheels via a three-speed automatic transmission. The five-digit odometer shows 87k miles, 8k of which have been added by the seller over the course of 15 years. Instrumentation consists of a 120-mph speedometer, a fuel-level gauge, and a series of warning lights. Per the seller, replacements for the dashboard bulbs and heater core were installed in 2017. During current ownership air conditioning was fitted, and additional equipment includes a powered front seat, a factory radio, and power windows. The interior features black vinyl upholstery (448) with color-coordinated carpeting and woodgrain veneers on the dashboard and door panels. The car came from the factory with power-assisted front disc brakes and rear drums, and additional service during current ownership included replacement of the rubber brake lines and a brake fluid flush in 2018. Polished Rallye-style wheels with painted pockets were mounted with Cooper Trendsetter white stripe tires in 2017. The convertible top seals were replaced by the seller. The car was refinished in its factory Bamboo Cream (81) during prior ownership following an incident when parked according to the seller, and it is accented with chrome body-side trim, a black convertible top, and a body-colored hard boot cover. This Buick convertible is now offered in Texas with a hard boot cover, an owner’s manual, service books, service records, and a clean New York title in the seller’s name.īased on the full-size LeSabre, the Centurion omitted the fender-mounted VentiPorts normally found on full-size Buicks and featured Centurion-inspired badging in place of the traditional Buick tri-shield.
